Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and username via Firebase Authentication. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.

Usage Data: We collect information about your in-app activity, including trades, tournament participation, streaks, daily picks, and leaderboard rankings. All trading is simulated with virtual currency — no real money is involved.

Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To manage your account and virtual portfolio
• To display leaderboards, profiles, and social features
• To send streak reminders and tournament notifications (if enabled)
• To improve the app and fix bugs

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your public profile (username, display name, badges, and trading stats) is visible to other users. We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication and push notifications
• Supabase — database hosting
• Google Cloud — API hosting

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication tokens, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings, which permanently removes all your data including your profile, trading history, and tournament records.

7. Children's Privacy

Hedgd is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
